D Sir.
With pleasure I fullfill my promise in Dropping you a line although have nothing important to communicate — Your family is all well — But I vow I not seen Miss Phillips this Morning to know if She has a Message — Our packing will be completed this day and looks well — Refer you to Our Papers for arrivals & Petitions — Suppose the Insurgent is now on his tryall two days has been taking up in examining witnesses the tryall will not finish to day. The Jury is not Supposed to go home or Separate, The City Hall is crowded & much Solemnity observed — Still being on Grand Jury & because of their Delisence has prevented me from going any where — Friends I believe in general is well — Present my Compliments to Mrs. N & believe me your sincerely
