My Good Brother
I have agreed to hire the Ferry at South West Point to a Mr Clarke for Six hundred Dollars by the Year upon Certain Conditions, he is to Build a large House and to have the priveledge of Cutting the Timber the west Side of the River, and Also fire Wood and timber for fencing in a Small piece of ground, Mr Clark on his Part is to keep a good House for the Accommodation of travellers And a ferry Boat the Indians to pass free without paying any thing. As he is a good Man and Six hundred Dollars a year a good thing for your Nation I am of opinion I have done well for your people And hope it will please them
