Bursaux de Pusy to me by a letter of the strongest recommendation as an accomplished gentleman, a man of worth & honor & of talents M. de Pusy goes to the U.S. to arrange his affairs for the future arri- val of Madam de Pusy You will remember that this gentleman was a fellow prisoner with M. de Fayette at Olmuts - his sufferings & her principles lead him to search for an asylum in a nation & under a Govern- ment which he admires, & which he would defend sooner than injure I beg leave to recommend him Sir to your protection & attention & that you will accept the assurance of the perfect esteem & high respect with which I have the honour to be Dear Sir &c [undecipherable] at [undecipherable] a[nd] [undecipherable] John McHenry at Hamburgh on his [undecipherable] after a passage of 79 days! — he is well & has left Hamburgh for this place I learn to day — we expect him with impatience W.
