Instant with the two Cartouch Boxes with their Belts— I have made a bargain with Norman Smith for the three Thousand Cartouch Boxes agreeably to the Instructions Contained in your letter;— that is at One [undecipherable] each, the first Thousand to be delivered in two months. after the Boxes arrive here, the second thousand one Month after, the last thousand in one month that is to finish all in four Months; they shall be inspected by a proper person, the Boxes can be sent directly from Phila-delphia to this place by water. as their are often [undecipherable: interlineation, probable reading "lately"] from Phila-delphia to Hartford, if no Hartford Vessels happen to be at Philadelphia, they can be sent by one of the constant Packets from Phila to New York....... where are always Vessels for this place & they can be shipped directly on board for Hartford without any Expence of landing warehouse Stor[undecipherable: probable reading "age"] it will be well to advise me when they are about to be Shipped that I may tell our Shippers from this place to look out for them. The Cartouch Boxes when finished can be shipped from this place to any place you direct; M^r.
