Sir — Agreeably to the request of M^r Jonathan Schuyler I Transmit you Three Deed or grants of land — 1^st Deed of the Pottawatimies to Charles De Clebart for land upon the River Raisin. 1785. An other Deed of the Pottawatimies to Frances & James Navarre for land on the River Raisin. 1785. A Third Deed from Frances to Robert Navarre [strikethrough: on the] for land upon the River Rouge. 1760. You will confer a very great favour on me, if you will be so very good as to take a receipt from M^r Schuyler for these deeds in which you will please to mention the names of the [underline: grantor] & [underline: grantee]— The quantity of land The place where it lies &c— M^r Schuyler has promised to leave in your possession a power of attorney which the persons therein named gave him for the purpose of obtaining the enclosed Deed— you will please to inform M^r Wadams that a receipt to you for the Deeds and a Deposit with you of the Power of attorney, were mentioned as the only grounds upon which I can justify a surrender of Them — I am Dear Sir — yours Most Ob^dt J Wayne [Col Hodgdon] --- Deed from the French Gov^t Granting to Robert [undecipherable] Six acres of Land in front by Forty Acres in Depth Situate on the River Rouge, bounded on one side by a farm of Jean Batt[iste] Broubin and on the other side by the said River Rouge, Deed dated the 18^th December 1760— Deed of the Pottewatemy Nation, to Frances and James Navarre. for Twenty Acres in front by One Hundred Acres in Depth Situate on the River Raisin, or (Namied Pippy) Bounded on one side by the Road of the Maumee River, running into a Prairie or Meadow.
