I Certify that there is due to a Detachment of Artillerists and Engineers stationed at Fort Wolcot under the command of Major Lewis Tousard, the sum of four hundred thirty four Dollars and sixty three cents being for the pay of Captain William Littlejohn Lieutenant George I. Rufs Sergeant Mate Thomas Tillinghast and the non commissioned Officers and Privates of said Detachment for the month of March 1799 which sum is to be transmitted to John A Dexter Supervisor at Provedence Rhode Island to be by him paid to the said Captain Littlejohn who is to be held accountable for the due application thereof —
