Description

Sends clothing as requested by the Secretary of War and requests acknowledgment of receipt. If they agree with the invoice, requests Stevens to pay for transportation. Regrets to hear that Halllam has left for Jamaica; wants to find out if Hallam has left items. Promises to speak with the Secretary of the Treasury as requested about compensation, but fears the Secretary of War will have differing opinions. Believes Stevens should prepare a settlement. The Secretary of War believes weapons shall be overhauled immediately.
