I received your letter of the 16 February last post advising me to draw for the payment of the troops under the command of Lieut. Col. Butler.
I therefore this day have drawn on you in favors of Henry G. [undecipherable: Boggs] for one thousand six hundred dollars, being for their [undecipherable: Rect.] of [undecipherable: Ratn] & [undecipherable: Clothg] as by advice of the 11 March, the bill payable after ten days sight and the Money to be appropriated for the payment of the Army as you have directed.
