Accountants Office March 23^d 1799 I Certify that John Sergeant adjourns to the Oneida nation of Indians is entitled to a credit for the amount of his account admitted by the Secretary of War or the erecting of two Mills at New Stockbridge, on the Oneida nation of Indians agreeably to the Treaty of the 2^d November 1794 . . . Dolls 1460.11 that he stands charges on the books of this office with Warrant N^o 4717, drawn for the purpose building a saw Gristmill at Stockbridge, for the use of said Oneida Nation of Indians Dolls 1000 — Leaving a balance due the said John Sergeant of five hundred & twenty Dollars & since new 400.11 1460.11 The Secretary of War W. Simmons Clerk &c Accountants Office March 23^d 1799 I Certify that there is due to the troops stationed at Fort Mervils under the command of Cap^t Garrard & Shackbure the sum of five hundred & forty six Dollars and two Cents being to pay pay of twenty Lieutenants Ferdinamd S^t Clairboune and John Saunders Surgeons mates William Barnwell including forage & for pay of the non commission officers and Privates for the month of February 1799 which sum is to be transmitted to Edward Harrington paymaster at Richmonds to be by him paid
