I Certify that there is due to a company of Artillerists and Engineers stationed at Fort Wolcot under the command of Captain William Littlefield the sum of five hundred twelve Dollars and ten Cents, being for the pay of himself Lieutenant George S Ross Surgeons Mate Thomas Tillinghast and the non commissioned Officers and Privates of the said Company up to the 28 th February 1799 and for retained bounty due to eight Recruits — which sum is to be transmitted to John S Dexter Supervisor at Providence Rhode Island to be by him paid to the said Captain Littlefield who is to be held accountable for the due application thereof —
