The buildings at Harpers Ferry are now so far advanced as to make it proper to remove the public Stores under your care to that place. — I have written to Mr John Mackey by request of the Secretary of War to apprise him of the order and directed him how to effect the removal; He has an order which he will present when the arrangement for the removal is completed; when it is effected, you will be pleased to take his receipt for all the articles delivered him to enable you to close your Store account in my Books; and to the same person I enclose your Cash accounts will be tendered that a final adjustment may take place.
