Sir,
Philadelphia 1 March 1799.
I have received your letter of the 14th ulto, your draft for three hundred and twenty five Dollars is paid, and I have also, agreeably to your request paid the balance of three hundred and Sixty Dollars due on the transportation business to Mr Trigg. I have at length received of the Accountant the money due on your Estimates up to the 31st October, which will leave a small Balance in your favour, which shall be stated to you in my next. I think you conducted the business relative to the money stopper for last time with your usual caution. I shall be glad to receive your statement of the transportation as early as possible. Time will not permit me to enlarge farther at present —
I am Sir
your most obedient servant
Thomas Holt Esqr.
