In December 1797 Seven Kegs containing sundry Stores for Silas Dinsmore Agent to the Cherokee Nation of Indians, were sent by you into the Public Store for transportation, being marked as other Stores belonging to the Public they were sent to the address of David Henley at Knoxville who received and delivered them to Mr Dinsmore. He is present and acknowledges the receipt of the Stores, but says he never received any account of them, and therefore has not credited them in his accounts.
I wish to be informed to whom you have charged those Stores — they Stand charged on my Books to Colo Henley as other Stores Sent to him on Public Account.
