I certify that there is due to a Company of the 1 Regt of Inft-ry stationed at Fort Johnston S.C. under the command of Capt Michael Halteisen, the sum of six hundred sixty two Dollars & 71/100, being for the pay of himself, Lieuts Jonathan Robison, Surgts Mate Frederick Dalch., including forage, for pay of the non commissioned Officers & Privates of said company for the months of November & December 1798, which sum is to be transmitted to Daniel Stevens Supervisor at Charleston S.Ca., to be by him paid to the said Capt. Halteisen who is to be held accountable for the due application thereof —
