Be it Remembered, that on the second — day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & Ninety Nine Personally Appeared before me John Taylor Esquire Just Judge of the Court of Common Pleas for the County of Albany in the State of New York Jane Van Derheysen a person to me well known & Sworn by Jane Van Derheysen a person to me well known & Sworn by Jane Van Derheysen deposeth & Saith that She is Creditt who being duly Sworn deposeth & Saith that she is well Acquainted with Abraham Livingston late a Captain in the Regiment lately Commanded by Colonel James Livingston, in the Army of the United States, and that the said Abraham Livingston, was a resident of the Province of Canada, previous to the American Revolution, and was employed as a Clerk to Mess^rs Oakes & Ermintingers in the Indian or furr Trade, & Continued in such Employ Untile the said Province was invaded by the American troops in the Year 1775, when he Joined the said Army and Continued in the same as this deponent Verily Believes, Untile the Close of the war, or Untile the Army was Disbanded. That the said Abraham Livingston hath not returned to reside in the Dominions of his Britannick Majesty prior to the 25. ^th November 1783. — Sworn this 2 day of February in the Year 1799 before me John Taylor Jane Vander Heyden
