Phila 2d Feby 1799
Sir
I have been very solicitous since my arrival at this place to have a number of my Vouchers which have been suspended at the Comptrollers office [undecipherable] passed to my credit — they are now before you, & it is highly proper, as I shall soon depart from the city, that they should be taken up without delay — I beg therefore that you would direct an examination of them, & I will attend at your office at any moment you will fix —
a— respectfully
