I certify that Mary Fountain was employ'd under my directions in attendance on the Sick at Bedlows Island from the 10th of September to the 18th of October — 1798 —

I do certify that the above named Mary Fountain was employed in attendance on the sick soldiers belonging to the detachment of the 2d Regiment of Artillerists and Engineers under my command in the garrison of Bedlows Island from the tenth day of September till the 24th day of December 1798 at which last period the sick were removed to the hospital at Governors Island when her services were no longer necessary.
