your favor of the 11th instant was received this morning — Am happy to find it is your opinion the Boat station for the Natches is safe — your several drafts will be duly honored — Our River is now open, although the Navigation is impeded by floating Ice; the weather has for since, and expect it will soon be clear, and gone of course, for the frost is not quite so severe with you as with us — O'Hara, is here — The Quarter Master General is busy making out his Estimates, and attending to the settlement of his accounts.
