Sir You will be pleased to furnish me with a Statement of the Expenditures made under the following Appropriations, during the last Year, viz: 1^st The expenditures under the Act for the Fortifications of the Ports and Harbors of the United States. 2^nd The expenditures under the Act of the last Session of Congress, authorising the President to procure Cannon, Arms and Ammunition, and for other purposes, and another act of the same Session providing Arms for the Militia.
