[Docketed on cover: Henry [undecipherable] / [undecipherable] / [undecipherable]] [received from [undecipherable]] Pittsburg 7^th December 1798 Dear Sir, Your Letter of the 30^th Ultimo is this moment come to hand — I had hoped some important Information would have transpired from the Deliberation of the Great Men now convened in your City. An Appearance of change of Weather induces me to prepare for shipping the Cloathing and Quarter Masters Stores &c^a for the Mississippi— On comparing the Generals Requisitions with the Cloathing received I find a considerable Deficiency— And in order that you may see what Articles are still wanting I have enclosed herewith a Copy of the Statement sent me by the Generals of the Distribution of the Troops Cloathing Agreeable to that Statement— for those stationed at Detroit, Macanac, Fort Wayne & Presque Isle was sent forward early in the Season. What remains of the Cloathing received now goes forward, but which is not altogether sufficient for the Troops at Natchez.— Capt Miller's Detachment is expected this day and I expect will descend the Ohio in a short time.
