Sir,
This Morning an Officer of Capt Edwd Miller's Detachment arrived here and informs me these Troops may be expected this Evening— The Officer says that Capt Miller expects to continue here during the Winter Notwith standing the General Order for all Detachments arriving here to descend the River— A favourable change of Weather renders it probable that Stores now on hand destined for the Mississippi and which I am now shipping will go forward without delay
A Quantity of Clothing is still wanting to complete the Troops on the Ohio and Mississippi
