Hunt Lamberton Aug: 9 1799 — Colonel Samuel Hodgdon Sir I have this instant only been able to obtain the proper vouchers for the Stores issued as many of them were to come from a distan- ce you have them enclosed with my return & The State of each article as near as I can describe are as follows — Horsemens Common Tents with their poles Cartouch Boxes, Axes, Pails, Pistols & Brass mounted Swords, Lades Mail Pistions Horsemen Pistols, Sword Bells, Belts for Cartouches, Snon & Ten Campkittle Trados & Shovels, Scabbards for Bay- antins, Stocks & Clasps — were used on the Wes- tern Expedition in 1794 and are much injured and (except the Tents, Cartouch Boxes & Sword) are not fit for service — The Shar, painted the wooden Bowls, Haversacks been considerably painted, Knapsack Sticks & Holders are new & in good order — The Tent remains as when put into Store — I am with much respt — Yours Very Ob^t.
