Dear Sir I have received your letter of the 23^d instant. I am sorry M^r Orner is detained so long on Account of the Wells, but it is unavoidable, and we must submit. it is certainly best to detain him untill the Vessel is compleated. The Clothing for the lower posts will command your first attention when the rise of the River admits Navigation.
