It is intended to remove 148 French prisoners from New Castle to Lancaster. The guard of 18 Marines, over them at present, is thought insufficient to conduct them to Lancaster; & no more Marines can be spared from the Vessels in Port, getting ready for Sea. Can you add such a guard to the 18 Marines, as will be sufficient. — An officer & 20 men in addition, it is presumed, will answer the purpose. —
