Sir,
I have received your letter of the 1st instant, notifying me that the Treasurer would remit me the sum of eight thousand one hundred and seventy five dollars for the estimated amount of pay of the Troops in this State, from the 1.st of August to the 31.st of December 1798.
A letter from the Treasurer, inclosing the above mentioned amount, has been received this day, of which I shall immediately inform Ensign Hugh McCall, Pay Master to the Troops.
