Philadelphia Nov 20th 1798.
Dear Sir,
You was so good as to say that you would make the arrangements for my receiving the balance due me for the Horse purchased by the U. S. at Harper’s Ferry. Having calculated upon this money to answer some drafts which are now become very able, I take the liberty to request your kind attention to this business; and if it could be so arranged that I could receive the money, or a part of it, today, it will very much obliged
