The inclosed list of the names of candidates for military commissions belonging to New Jersey includes some names which have been added since the one sent you on the 30th of July.
As it will be necessary to decide upon the subject of appointments in a short time, (General Washington being here,) I pray you to remit to me the [strikethrough: Jersey] list with your remarks, noting particularly characters indisposed to government and order.
