Philadelphia 9^th Nov^r 1793 Dear Sir By a Waggon that leaves this City in a day or two for Pittsburg I shall draw on you a &you request for the fifty Dollars on account of the note which you was kind enough to collect. it will make part of the Waggoners advance on his load to Pittsburg, and will save you the trouble of a remittance. The Public Officers are returning to the City. the Secretaries of the Treasury and War are arrived. General Washington comes in to day; as does Col^e Hamilton — we begin to look quite alive again — Will thank you to inform your Son we have not recieved any Vests or Woollen Overalls. Since I wrote to him — and at present are unable to make up a complete suit for any place. Powder is an essential Article indeed — and to bring as much as possible of it into view.
