[Page 275] Philadelphia, 6 Novemb^r 1793. Dear Sir, The bearer is M^r Daniel Watrous, Brother to the unfortunate Doctor of that name, who died in this City. He comes to collect his Brother's effects and settle his affairs, and for this purpose finds it necessary to proceed to Pitts-burg as a considerable property was sent thither a few days before his death — The monies as per Invoice I presume remains in your hands, and I must request you to deliver them to M^r Watrous, and leaving him your assistance in making such a disposition of them as under circumstances he may deem best and most for the interest of the survivors — The expense of the transportation will be adjusted here, of course a receipt for the delivery of them will be all that will officially be required of you — The Citizens are generally returned; the public offices will be in the last of this week — We once more look alive — Adieu — I am Sir, your most obedient Servant — Samuel Hodgdon Major Isaac Craig.
