Dear Sir, I have heard nothing from or of you lately, & cannot certainly know where to find you, but think it most likely from known circumstances that you may be found at Trenton. If this meets you there, be pleased to send me an account of the Cannon belonging to the United States at Cecil furnace where you have lately been. I trust all that fired the required Proof may be considered as Public Property — Let me know their number & Calibre. I am making out a General Return and wish to add this — What of the Laboratory? Dear Sir Your esteemed favour of the 26^th Ultimo is before me — We all remain well and god be praised the sickness is nearly done — The public Offices remove from Trinity to the City in the course of the ensuing week. I had not barred the procuring the Articles inserted in the generals indent, the counter order notwithstanding, because I had other calls for the same articles. A part of them is purchased which shall be forwarded as soon as I can make up a load — The Planes and Bellows you informed me might be had on good terms at Pittsburgh — I will send you a supply of both by the first Waggons through the War Office on Tuesday I received a letter from the Délégent which I shall answer by this day's post.
