Dear Sir,
Some time since I recd by William Hammilton some public clothing for Wtr & pass’d my rect there were no Vests, perhaps you had none on hand at the time.
The weather is setting in cold, if you have any woollen overhalls & vests, I will take it as a particular favor if you will forward me some by the bearer of this scrawl. I have now fifty recruits.
