Dear Sir,
Your letter of the 28th Ultimo this Moment received has relieved me from anxiety for your Family's Wellfare since last Post day. —
You no doubt take every precaution to avoid a communication with such parts of the City in which the Malady is known to prevail — I had hoped that the late cool Weather would have in some degree stopped its Virulence. —
In consequence of your letter and one from the Secretary of the Treasury to Genl Nevill, he will pay into my hands as I shall find occasion a sum remaining in his hands of money received in Payment of land sold NorthWest of the Ohio. I believe the whole Amount that I shall obtain will not exceed 5,000 Dollars, and for which I shall draw on you in his favor as soon as the Amount is ascertained. — I make no doubt but every necessary exertion will be made on your part to send forward the Stores required by the General; It is important that they reach this place in season to descend the Ohio
I am with great respect,
Sir,
Your
Obedt Servant
