Sir Herewith I do myself the honor to transmit you the Subsistence accounts of the Officers of the Frigate to the 30 June last together with my Contingent Account — amounting together to One thousand, five hundred and twenty seven Dollars and 9/100 which be pleased if found correct to pass to my credit — I have rec'd on account of the Pay of the Officers and Seamen to the amount of about Eight Thousand dollars, which I have hitherto retained in expectation of a muster being made and a settlement take place when I would have given up their receipts & taken it on the roll, for the whole amount If you should think [undecipherable] it will [undecipherable] on — be kind enough to make my respects to the Gentlemen of the Office — I am very unhappy to hear of the death of my former Colleagues — Mr. Norris and Mr. Sheards — it has been reported that Mr. Wagner was taken down with the fever — I hope not. — be kind enough to tell Mr. Ellis that I received his letter and will answer it shortly — my time is wholly taken up with the business of the Ship Accept my dear Sir my kind remembrance of your friendship and am with sentiments of esteem Your mo.
