Sir.
I have received your letter dated the 27th Septr. inclosing a Receipt Roll for the Pay of yourself & the detachment under your Command for the month of August 93. which has undergone examination & found correct. the amount thereof being one hundred & forty dollars & forty two cents will accordingly be placed to the credit of your account on the books of this Office.
Your Recruiting account has been left in Philadelphia the settlement must therfor be suspended untill the Office returns to the City.
Agreeably to your request I send you inclosed some blank Muster, Pay & Receipt Rolls.
