With this you will receive returns of the Stores at this place together with my Accounts per [undecipherable] since the 1st of January last, which you will please lodge in the proper office and favour me with the earliest attention you can give thereto.
I have given an order on the Genl [undecipherable] for the whole money to be paid to you, you will please apply so much thereof to the payment of the drafts drawn by Major Biedinger & myself as hath been or can be paid; and hold the residue Subject to my Order, unto the Order of Major Biedinger so far as he is in advance, which is 139 Doll. 22 Cents —, please give me the earliest possible liberty to draw for the balance due [undecipherable] the Major Biedinger [undecipherable] as I assure you Cash is so scarce in this quarter tis an Object to receive what is due tho the Sum should not be considerable.
I have inclosed an estimate for monies wanting next quarter on which if you can procure an advance, you will advise me —
I have been industrious since my return from the Westward in getting the Stores here put in proper order, that should we be obliged to use them they may be fit for Service.
Seeing the crowded condition of Lieut Shoemaker's recruits at Frederick Town, I have loaned to him six common Tents, with poles until he can, receive your order for them.
I will forward to you by next post, Capt Bishop's receipt for the Stores Ordered to him, when they arrived, the Capt was absent, and the Sergeant's receipt which I have got waits form, I shall therefore procure the Captain's rect. And forward to you.
