Jacob Death on infamation of the Death of his wife imme diately determined to return to Philadelphia in consequence of which I have paid him in full for his services here, together with nine days Pay, and twenty three dollars the allowance for returning home agreeable to Contract, he proposes returning to this place as soon as he has settled his Family Affairs. I have found him a very industrious sober man and a good and useful Mechanick, therefore wish to encourage him to return as soon as possible, I will therefore thank you to assist him should he apply to you on his Setting out for this place. Jacob will hand you a letter together with a small round Jacket addressed to Colo Clement Biddle, which you will please to have delivered —
