The Inclosed is Copys of Rects of each Recruit under my Command at Fayetteville, I have transmitted to Mr. McHenry a Return of each man & What they have Received of Cloathing as this place being the [undecipherable] for Recruiting I think it best [undecipherable] [undecipherable] to Remains a little time longer. I have been Succesfull in the time I have been in Fayette Which is but three Weeks this day, the Country men Comes in every day I think in a month or so from this day I will be able to get More, Than possible maybe [undecipherable: probable reading Carlied], however, I Shall remain untill further Orders.
