The 2 pattern Hats were forwarded by the Stage this morning & will I trust be with you before this letter. I hope you will be able to spare time to direct the mode of payment of D. I am still at my Post and my family are at Churs, the situation of my House is very, and the rooms in it are commodious, yet all my neighbours have left me who have the same advantages and so completely is our City deserted, that I have neither friend nor neighbour in the vicinity of my house or office, yet Blessed be God myself & family remain perfectly well.
