Dear Sir -
This morning I received your letter of the 8th instant - the one you mention to have previously written has not got to hand. Supreme thanks Sir, for the trouble you have had in the business - until in kind I can make you a more acceptable compensation.
All is gloom is here - and I have heard your City has also been visited these things seem to be all against us - but we must wait the event - My family is well - when you come to this City I shall expect to see you ’till then adieu -
Your very sincerely
