Philadelphia 12^th September 1798 Sir, Your two favours of the 10^th & 11^th instant is this moment received. The 6 Muskets for patterns shall be sent to Baltimore immediately. The sum you mention as being in the hands of General Nevil, may answer the expenditures in the Quarter Masters Department at Pittsburg and being made subject to the draft of Major Craig will prevent his drawing else where untill it is expended. I will write both to Nevil & Craig accordingly.
