Sir,
Your two favours of the 10 & 11th instant is this moment received. The 6 Muskets for patrons shall be sent to Baltimore immediately. The sum you mention as being in the hands of General Nevel, may answer the expenditures in the Quarter Masters Department at Pittsburg and being made subject to the draft of Major Craig will prevent his drawing elsewhere untill it is expended. I will write both to Nevel & Craig accordingly. The expenditures at Pittsburgh being very considerable at present, I think the fund had better be made subject to Craig's Drafts only

By a letter received this morning from the Secretary of the Treasury, I am informed there remains on the hands of Genl Nov. Nevel the sum of Dol 2994. 72 which he received for the sale of Lands belonging to the U S and which the Secretary wishes to draw into the Treasury.
He requests me to take measures for preventing any more Bills from being drawn out for the Qr Mr Department from
