The proprietors of the several accounts mention'd, in my former letter are pressing for the money I have advis'd several of them to go to Thornton & present their Accounts, but there seems to be a reluctance to that mode of obtaining payment. Enclosed is Mr Hoffmans account for the repairs & equiping the 1th field peices last from Springfield. Mr Annelly has an account for 46 days employ, inspecting Muskets &c in the absence of Mr Nicholson. I wish some mode of may be fallen on, as he as well as others are really distress'd, they haunt me continually, and interrupt my business.
