Sir,
I fell in company with Mr Frazier & enquired of him whether you had said any thing to him relative to Phillips the waggoner, he says you have not, but believes you have committed the business to another attorney, whose name, I do not recollect. If the suit, is commenced it is well, if not, I you are under no engagement I think it will be well to throw the papers into Mr Fraziers hands immediately, that we may have a chance of recovering while the transaction is fresh in the memory of all concerned.
I wish you also to procure transportation and send me the 6 pounder brass Cannon & its carriage belonging to the Public, which has been too long detained at Lancaster either thro' ignorance or neglect of those in whose charge it was left. If the carriage is fit to travel so far it will be best to hire a couple of horses, with common Gear & send the Gun down, mounted. If not send both in the cheapest manner you can.
