You will very much oblige me by Sending me a form or a few Blanks Returns of as Recruiting party as Well of muster & Pay Roles I feel my Self very much at a loss for them or in What Manner to Return What few men I have at present, I have at fayette ville four likely men, I have bun oblige to Contract for [strikethrough: there] Rations up there, Will thanks you to in form me in What Manner that Will be paid, if by making Some kind of a Return of the Rations drawn up here to the Contractor of Wilmington; Will also thanks you Sir if you Can apost me With a bout three months pay as I am oblig'd to travel a good ways in the Country to get My men, I find difficult to do any thing With out it in any part of this State as they all Expect a great deal of treating before they Will Enlist, I Should Not trouble you Sir Was it in my power to do Without but With out that tis impossible for me to travel & treat the men in the Manner I Wish to do, I am at Fayette at present, I Wish to attend the General Mustins in the different Countys Which takes places in the next month.
