I am this moment favoured with your letter of the 1st instt. I have signed and enclosed the orders on the several Store keepers for pattern Muskets, & Shall write to each of them as you request. The part that respects Mr Mackey, he is present to perform. I will make the selection for the Cavalry Equipments as soon as possible & advise you. Enclosed, is a bill in favour of Mr Morris forwarded for acceptance and payment. I have made some advances for him already in this business, and when the dragoon arrive which are daily expected, I Shall want the whole amount.
If payment can be made immediately, be pleased to send the money by Mr Mackey.
