Sir,
I have received your letter of the 10th instant — I had before on receipt given Captn Gee directions to supply Captn Campbell & Captn Brown with such Articles as they might stand in need of, and requested Mr Francis and therein, but I now enclose you an Order from the Secretary at War to the military Store Keeper Mr Harris to deliver to your Order whatever may be necessary I hope therefore, their will be no delay in getting away these Vessels — Howitzers I believe are not to be had, and therefore Captn Campbell must go without them, unless those you mention can be purchased — You will continue your Attention to this Object as well as to the [strikethrough: undecipherable] Ranger, which Ship I am anxious to see ready for another Cruize —
I wish you to inform Captn Brown that he must receive on board, sundry Military Stores which I have directed Captn Gee to ship for, which he must sign receipts deliverable in Georgia & South Carolina. —
I am Sir
Your most Obt.
