Pittsburg 31^st August 1798 Dear Sir The Post having arrived this day without a Letter from you induces my Suspicion that You and Some one of Your Families may not have escaped an Attack of that fatal Malady now prevailing in your City. I hope you have not persevered in Your first resolution of Continuing with Your Families in the midst of Danger — My Letter to you of the 28^th of July last Enclosed a Catalogue of Books which M^rs Col. Nevill & M^rs Craig desired me to beg of You to procure for them — In Your Several Letters since that date you have omitted acknowledging the Receipt of both that Letter & Catalogue. and I am frequently Called upon to know if the Books have been procured — I have found it necessary to Draw on You in favor of Michael Jones at ten days for Six hundred & fifty two Dollars in two Drafts viz one of 500 the other of 152 these be pleased to Pay & Charge as Usual. — I am Dear Sir Your Obedient Servant Isaac Craig Sam^l Hodgdon Esq^re Philad^a
