Philadelphia 29^th August 1793 Sir, This morning I received your letter of the 23 and am glad to find part of the Muskets & Cartouch Boxes ordered to Baltimore were sent there and that the remainder to compleat the order will soon follow. The expence for the transporting shall be paid on your draft. Only 120 Dollars have been received by me on your Account which was the same have paid to M^r Baker and Conyngys. I think I understood M^r Lewis just before he left the City to say that another Warrant in your favour was ordered, this I will make certain & inform you. As soon as convenient after you receive this I wish you to send two Horsemans & fifteen common Tents with their Poles to Winchester to the address of Captain John Bishop the recruiting Officer at that place. The City is nearly depopulated in consequence of the malignant fever which has again visited it. The Secretary of War is with the Office, and indeed all the Officers have removed to Trenton.
