Cincinnatti Aug. 27^th 1798 Sir Inclosed are two Bank bills one of 2^? & one of 10 Dollars, the property of M^rs Murray of Boston author of the [undecipherable] — I was requested by my friend Col Sargent to transmit you this money on account of the 19 [sets?] of the [undecipherable] subscribed for in this town — I have not been able to collect one fifth of the last payment for three books. & I make this advance on account of my friendship for the Colonel — there will be something still due to M^rs Murray (a few dollars) which I would now send but am not able to procure an other Note — — I am with Respect Sir your most Humb^l Sv^t.
