Document 1798Harrison is enclosing two bank bills that are the property of Mr. Murray of Boston; he has not been able to collect one fifth of the last payments for their books.
8-27-1798 Cincinnati Aug 27th. 1798 Sir Inclosed are two Bank bills one of 20 & one of 10 Dollars; the property of Mr Murray of Boston author of the Gleaner. I was requested by my friend Colo Torquet to finance you this money on amount of the 19 yetts of the Gleaner subscribed for in this town - I have not been able to collect one fifth of the last payment for their books. & I make this advance on account of my friendship for the Colonel - there will be something fair due to Mr Murray (a few dollars) which I would now send but am not able to procure an other note - I am with Respect This your Most Humblest Wm H.
