On monday last I recd your letter dated the 9th Inst: directing me to send to the address of Colo John [undecipherable] of Baltimore one Thousand muskets and a like Number of Cartouche boxes.
I have this day sent forward 164 muskets in six boxes weight 2390 at one Dollar p: hundred Carriage —
On monday next I shall get the residue on the way, and shall wait on the Colo myself for a receipt which will be forwarded to you — I shall at the same time forward an account of the carriage and other expenses attending the transportation of the Stores within a draft for the money the scarcity of that money Article have puts it out of my power to advance [undecipherable] in the usual way.
You will oblge me by letting me know what you have paid to Mrs Baker & Compy — I only have a Credit here for [strikethrough: [undecipherable]] monies paid them for 120 Dollars
