I transmit to you enclosed John Habersham's receipt dated July 4. 1798. for seventeen dollars and twelve Cents applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expens of the Department of War in the State of Georgia; which receipt is to be annexed to a Warrant to be issued by the Secretary of War on the Treasurer in favor of said Haber-sham who is to be charged and held accountable for the [undecipherable] books of your Office.
